The Copas Partnership

Throughout our work at TheCopas Partnership we aim to act responsibly and promote sustainability in the community. Our Corporate Responsibility program is an active process designed with the UK Small Business Consortium’s initiative Better Business Journey. Through the Better Business Journey we have committed to continually improving our work and the impact it has on our people, premises, promotion and purchasing. We are only at the beginning of the process but we are proud of the successes that we have already achieved in the different areas of our business:

• Each year we donate turkeys to over 50 charities across the UK helping to make Christmas a little more special for over 4000 people.
• The packaging we use for Copas Traditional Turkeys is now made from over 75% recyclable board and is 100% recyclable.
• Last year we recycled over 9 tonnes of rubbish during Henley Royal Regatta, which accounted for 33% of the total waste. An average event recycles 21%.

Red Nose Day 2011

This year for Comic Relief we decided to hold a Copas-Cash-In-The-Attic event, for which we all donated items that we then auctioned on eBay. Items included a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes, a saxophone, and a wooden table as well as a Foodies Hamper with a Copas Free Range Turkey and a Parking and Picnic space for Henley Royal Regatta. We raised £255.07 through the auction and a further £102.50 on the day when we held a Red Nose Day lunch of turkey curry followed by fruit salad and ice-cream and asked for donations from all those who attended.

'Make a Wish' Advert

Last September The Copas Partnership donated £1300 to The Make a Wish Foundation in support of their Fairy Make a Wish Campaign to grant a wish for 100 youngsters. Can you recognise the location in the video ?

Remenham Farm during Henley Royal Regatta

Through our work with events and activities at Remenham Farm we are pleased to support several local and national charities and community causes. In some cases we have the opportunity to host their events to help them raise vital funds for their organisations.

In particular it is important for us to support the world of rowing and developing the sport for future generations. We are proud to do this as a Preferred Partner of the Mark Lees Foundation, by sponsoring and hosting Henley Women's Regatta, by playing an important role in Henley Master's Regatta and Henley Boat Races, and by supporting other smaller events.

We are host to many charity events throughout the year with sponsored walks.

Copas Traditional Turkeys

As a company geared around making customer's lives easier & consumer's meals more enjoyable over the hectic Christmas season, it is important to us that we use our specialist skills to also support those who are most vulnerable.

During December we donate a number of our turkeys to a variety of deserving national & local causes, which in 2010 saw us assist over 140 charitable organisations, making Christmas a little more special for some 6,500 people.

Our Partner Charities again this year - the Marie Curie Hospices & Help the Hospices - are two very worthy recipients for some Copas turkey assistance. With the help of our stockists we are able to donate turkeys to hospices nationwide for the Christmas meal of patients & families who weren't able to go home on Christmas day.

Closer to home we have chosen to champion a broad spectrum of valuable causes, ranging from Crisis' Christmas Appeal & The Maidenhead Advertiser's Christmas Cracker Appeal to Wokingham District's Community Voluntary Action.
