February
To celebrate the Queens 60th Jubilee Tom Copas will be hosting a Grand Jubilee Extravaganza alongside St John the Baptist Church in Cookham to raise funds for their Vestry Redevelopment Project. The event will be held on Monday 4th June and will include food by Jamie Oliver's Fabulous Feasts, music by The Shirtlifters, a beacon and fireworks. Click here for further information.
We are busy planning this year's Royal Regatta, with Courtyard Enclosure tickets and Moorings already on sale. This month 80's Rewind Festival tickets have also gone on sale. Lot's to look forward to!
December
A hectic month for us here! During December two of our turkeys could be spotted as you drove down the M4. Our collection day was bigger & better than ever this year - carol singers, mulled wine, mince pies, Father Christmas and Henry the Carthorse kept everyone entertained! Thank you to all those that helped us raise £306.26 for St John the Baptist Church in Cookham on the day. Home deliveries went well to, thanks to the snow holding off.
November
We all enjoyed our farm open day, thank you to all those that came along! There was plenty of talking and tasting with proceeds from the tombola and pumpkin carving going to St John the Baptist Church in Cookham. During November we were able to meet even more of you at the Spirit of Christmas Fair in London, well done to Hazel Stride for winning the prize draw which we ran at the event!
Planning for Henley Royal Regatta 2012 is well under way and we are pleased to confirm that The Gourmet Trotter, Pashmina UK, Sooksan and Pachacuti will all be joining us in the Shopping Village.
A warm welcome to Intrapharm Laboratories, our new tenants at the Courtyard Barns! Building at the Riverside Barns in Remenham is going well due to the mild weather we have had this month.
October
For all those earlybird Copas Turkey fans out there we are delighted to let you know that our ONLINE SHOP is now open! Order your Thanksgiving or Christmas Turkey today & relax in the knowledge that one of your most important tasks for this year's celebrations is done!
We are also busy preparing for our Farm Open Day on Sunday 30th October. Please come along! The tractor will be primed to take you on rides across the farm, where you'll meet the turkeys & our trusty turkey dogs, Jess & Pip as they demostrate their herding expertise! There will be pumpkin carving & a full turkey carving demo to get you prepped for the big day. The Copas family will be here to welcome you & you'll sample lots of festive produce (including turkey of course!)
The build has started on our Remenham Farm site to convert the old Barns into Luxury riverside offices.
August
At King Coppice Farm our Free Range Turkeys have now been outside for a number of weeks & are enjoying their new surroundings. This year the natural cover we provide has grown well & the assortment of traditional game grasses, such as sunflowers, maize, phacelia, sorgham & millet have attracted a plethora of wildlife. In fact the farm has become a bird watchers paradise, with Red Kites, Buzzards, Kestrels, Tawny & Little Owls, Sparrow Hawks & Great Spotted Woodpecker... to name but a few!
The combine harvester has been going full-throttle on the farm recently completing this year's harvest. The hay bales are now neatly laid out on the hills - a lovely view!
